Designing With Purpose,
Creating For Conservation

At Studio Marobi, we blend artistic excellence with environmental advocacy to create designs that don’t just captivate—they educate and inspire action. Every illustration, every design element, and every project we undertake is crafted with intention: to strengthen your connection with the natural world and to encourage sustainable thinking through beautiful, purposeful creativity.

Where Creativity
Meets Conservation

Studio Marobi emerged from the perfect intersection of artistic passion and environmental dedication. Founded by Matilda Bishop in 2021, the studio evolved from its origins as Matilda Bishop Art into a comprehensive creative agency with a clear mission: to harness the power of design for environmental education and conservation advocacy.

The seeds of Studio Marobi were planted as early as 2014, when Matilda began exploring how her artistic talents could serve a greater purpose. What started as a personal creative journey has blossomed into a professional studio that creates not just visually striking work, but designs that tell important stories about our planet.

Today, Studio Marobi serves as a versatile creative hub, offering specialized expertise across multiple disciplines:

  • Conservation-focused illustration for educational materials and campaigns

  • Children’s book creation that introduces young minds to environmental concepts

  • Scientific and environmental visualization that makes complex information accessible

  • Social media content creation for eco-conscious brands and organizations

  • Sustainable merchandise design featuring endangered and iconic wildlife

  • Brand development for businesses committed to environmental responsibility

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to environmental advocacy in everything we create. Each project—whether it’s a children’s book about marine conservation, social media content for an eco-friendly business, or illustrations for an environmental campaign—is approached with both artistic excellence and ecological mindfulness.

The Story & Artist Behind Studio Marobi

Meet Matilda

Matilda Bishop is an illustrator, graphic designer, and passionate environmental advocate whose creative vision has been shaped by a lifelong connection to the natural world. Growing up surrounded by the ancient rainforests of Far North Queensland, Australia, Matilda developed an early appreciation for biodiversity and conservation that continues to influence her work today.

Early Years

Her artistic journey began in childhood—by age fourteen, she had already written, illustrated, and self-published her first children’s book, laying the foundation for a career that would seamlessly blend storytelling with environmental awareness.

The Switch

Originally working in traditional gouache watercolour, Matilda transitioned to digital art in 2019, embracing sustainable practices while expanding her creative capabilities. This evolution allowed her to develop the distinctive style that defines Studio Marobi today: vibrant, detailed illustrations that capture the beauty and importance of our natural environment.
